A Victorian weatherboard at the street, a white flat-roofed pavilion at the back, and a garden that has to hold both. The front keeps the original tessellated path, with lambs ear, salvia and grasses breaking over the tile edge. Behind the house the planting gives way to structure. Limestone crazy paving, board-formed concrete for the bench and the kitchen, a clean rectangle of lawn, and a blue tiled pool tucked in behind the timber shed. Virginia creeper does the rest, carried across the white walls and up the boundary.
Pool and courtyard.
